About Us

Project ChildCare Foundation (PCF) is a registered Canadian Charity (BN: 855858973RR0001) established in 2004. We strive to bring sustainable improvements to the lives of children in crisis and need through the provision of basic care, educational, health and psychosocial support programs. We provide targeted support to grassroots groups and community-based projects started from the ground up by members who could not ignore the issues facing children in their communities.

Our Focus

Our current area of focus is children affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Sub-Saharan Africa. Combining social work, nursing experience specific to paediatric and HIV/AIDS care, as well as professional managerial expertise, our team is uniquely qualified to assist in these humanitarian efforts. Through the contributions of individuals, local community groups and corporations, Project ChildCare Foundation is committed to providing sustainable support and funding to our current projects, while exploring new global initiatives to help improve the lives of children. To date, PCF has provided direct aid to over 200 children. Please visit our "Projects" section for more details on PCF's initiatives.

PCF Leadership

GARY S. MORALES
Founder and Executive Director,
Project ChildCare Foundation

Gary S. Morales' involvement with grass-roots community projects and social justice advocacy began in Southeast Asia from 1987 onwards. He co-founded and acted as a Director for the Office of Social Concerns in Manila, Philippines (a non-profit, non-governmental group which co-ordinated strategies and the implementation of projects by local community-based groups and international NGOs, within the inner-communities and slums of Manila), as well as working (as a teacher and social worker) alongside volunteers and aid workers from the U.S. Peace Corps throughout the Northern and Central Philippines region.

In 1990, he returned to Canada and began his career in public service, working as a Case Worker for the City of Toronto at the Downtown Toronto Social Services Office, assigned to various caseloads such as: the Hostels-to-Homes Program, Community Outreach, People Living with AIDS, Single-Parent Families, Foster Children, Youth, New Immigrants and Refugees.) In 2003, he founded Toronto for the Children of the World (an advocacy and fundraising non-profit, non-governmental group working to aid children and women in global crisis regions), and was appointed as the Toronto Attache for UNICEF Canada. In 2004, Gary founded Project ChildCare Foundation (which became a CRA registered charity in 2006), where he holds the position of Executive Director.
