Project ChildCare Foundation (PCF) is a registered Canadian Charity (BN: 855858973RR0001) established in 2004. We strive to bring sustainable improvements to the lives of children in crisis and need through the provision of basic care, educational, health and psychosocial support programs. We provide targeted aid to grassroots groups started from the ground-up by individuals who could not ignore the needs of children in their communities.

Our Focus

Our resources are currently divided between international aid programs in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. Combining social work, nursing experience specific to paediatric care, and professional managerial expertise, our team is uniquely qualified to assist in these humanitarian efforts. Through the contributions of individuals, community groups and corporations, PCF is committed to providing sustainable support and funding to our current projects, while continuing to explore new initiatives to help improve the lives of children around the world. To date, PCF has delivered ongoing direct aid to over 300 children.

Our Leadership

GARY S. MORALES, Founder and Executive Director

Gary S. Morales’ involvement with community projects and social justice advocacy began in Southeast Asia in 1987.  Gary co-founded and acted as Director for the Office of Social Concerns in Manila, Philippines – a non-profit, non-governmental group which co-ordinated projects with local community outreach programs and international agencies in the slums of Manila.

In 1990, Gary returned to Canada to begin his career in public service as a Case Worker for the City of Toronto, assigned to various outreach initiatives including the Hostels-to-Homes Program, People Living with AIDS, Single-Parent Families and Foster Children.

In 2003, Gary was appointed as the Toronto Attaché for UNICEF Canada. Through his experiences with UNICEF, Gary recognized an urgent need to further assist local community-driven initiatives.  In response to this need, Gary founded Project ChildCare Foundation in 2004 where he serves as Executive Director.

DEBORAH RODRIGO, Co-Executive Director

Deborah is a Certified Management Accountant with over 20 years of financial management experience, ensuring sound guidance and financial oversight of the Foundation and its initiatives. In addition to directing the Foundation’s financial activities, Deborah serves as the voice of PCF, regularly speaking out on child poverty issues here at home, and documenting our humanitarian efforts abroad.

MARK AYLWARD, Director

Mark brings over 15 years of professional finance and banking experience to the Foundation.  With specialization in program management, and a history of involvement with various community outreach initiatives, Mark is well-suited to guide PCF’s activities.
